Vladamir, 34, was hospitalised in the Russian city of Kazan after getting stabbed in a drunken fight.
He told the medics he had something to do and went off. He didn’t actually have any cigarettes on him and had hoped to get one from other smokers outside, under the -10C temperatures outside wearing nothing but underwear.
A spokesman from the regional health authority in Tatarstan confirmed Vladamir had undergone surgery to remove the knife, and was in a stable condition.
